Darren Lamb, 44, died while driving a forklift at Conroy Removals in Dandenong, Victoria on Monday morning.reported a component of the forklift failed as the shipping container was being lifted, causing the container to fall back onto the driver’s cabin.
Wife Charlene Lamb said her husband was a devoted father who spent most of his free time with their seven children, four of which are still under the age of eight. “I just don’t understand how he can get up and go to work and never come home due to work safety,” she said.Darren Lamb was working at Conroy Removals when he was killed by a shipping container.“He was known to always have painted nails at work,” she said. “He loved taking the girls on their nightly bike rides and read them a bedtime story almost every night.”“He would always joke and say you never know what might happen while I’m in there,” she said.
“Our priority at this time is to provide support to the family of our lost team member and all our Melbourne team.”
