"I did not grow up with traditional language being spoken fluently around me, just small phrases," he said.
Mr Keith said as a result of feeling their language had been left behind, his family had turned to recreating their mother tongue, and devising totally new words to represent their people. "Now that phrase pops up not only in our family's music but all over the place even just speaking to each other. "It wasn't until my 20s that people would come up to me and say, 'Oi, your dad's Wire'," Mr Keith laughed.
