More than 10,000 Australians died of ischemic heart disease in the first eight months of 2022 - that’s about 17 per cent higher than would be expected in a normal year.

We are yet to see the full impact of this in health data.”

It was state Governments response to the pandemic that stopped early diagnosis and treatment, they closed down treatments even though the huge numbers of cases never eventuated
