Fans unhappy as Matildas don't offer female sizes for away team kit

Female Matildas fans have been left disappointed after the team confirmed its national team's away kit would not be available for purchase in women's sizes until 2022.Player Elise Kellond-Knight says a lack of women's sizes is "a fairly significant problem"A post from the Matildas' Twitter account on Friday replied to a number of fans requesting the Australian women's soccer team's green away jersey.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and can assure supporters that this will be rectified for the next kit release due in 2022." Among those unhappy with the decision was Matildas player Elise Kellond-Knight, who tweeted the lack of women's sizes was "a fairly significant problem".Another person who took issue with the oversight, London-based neuropsychologist Bonnie-Kate Dewar, said not being able to buy a women's kit for Australia's "most-loved team" was "not acceptable".

It’s women’s sport. It’s not really important.

Thought that would have been the other way around, men unable to get support gear to fit, it is one of the best sporting teams in Australia.

Caveat, I think anyone over the age of 17 wearing a replica shirt is a bit odd. Having said that, it is ridiculous that a national team (regardless of gender) do not offer all replica kit options in women’s fit. Also, why the delay on the youth sizes? They should be the priority.
