Eden Camac was injured while at a supported accommodation facility. An ambulance was not called until 10 hours after the incident and his family wants to know what went wrong.

"I would have thought that the compliance unit would have been more involved in researching, investigating and understanding what's happened to Eden and to see where the failures were in their systems, and the processes that are there to safeguard people with disability," Ms Camac said.

The department did not respond to 7.30's questions about why the compliance unit had declined to investigate, whether it had imposed sanctions on the provider or if it had sent officers to inspect the facility.

Oh that's so awful 😔

Truly shocking.

A tragedy which shouldn't happen again. Best of luck to the injured person, may you recover ASAP. Also I hope you're getting as much pain relief as you think you require, not what they're offering you.
