Abiding by a prerequisite to board, grandmother Gloria, parents Karina and Nestor, and their children Lucas and Gabrielle were all fully vaccinated.Just days before their cruise departed, they said they got an email from Carnival Cruise lines."They said, 'Your booking is cancelled because you have an unvaccinated person in your group'," Nestor said.

"We didn't think Leo needed a vaccination based on the rules they had set on their site, at the time, otherwise we wouldn't have booked it," Anthony said.They said Carnival took their booking and money and then cancelled at the last minute. "We're seeing that it's working, the protocols are working, we are not having outbreaks on the ships."
