F1 Testing commences as an unlikely contender emerges in Austria. 9WWOS

Daniel Ricciardo has turned his first laps in a Formula One car since February, with the Australian completing a test session in Austria ahead of the first race of the season.

The test is designed to give the team an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the COVID-19 protocols, which include social distancing rules and the wearing of masks by team members.Ricciardo, who will leave for McLaren at the end of the 2020 season, is expected to be once again consigned to the midfield this year, with Renault not likely to challenge the established "Big Three" of Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari.

"Red Bull definitely comes to mind because I think they showed really good performance in testing and I'm sure they're putting it all in for that race in Austria, their home race," he told Sky Sports.

The AFL and NRL have triumphantly returned, but other sports may struggle in their shadowThe continued prosperity of the AFL and NRL may cost rival sports much-needed media coverage in a post-coronavirus environment, writes Richard Hinds. Oh please! One NRL game get postponed due to COVID-19. I wouldn’t say it was a triumphant return. 🤦‍♂️ Not sure that just continuously saying what you think should happen, telling the public you have gov support when you don’t & leaning on those who can help and ignoring medical advice when all the while we all know it’s about the dollars equals triumphant.

Mr Newman asked Sky News host Peta Credlin.\n\n“It’s not going to help Deb Frecklington to have that war”. \n\n“My advice to the LNP parliamentary team is to focus on the main game, get out there and demonstrate you are behind Deb Frecklington, articulate an agenda that is positive and exciting for Queenslanders and win their vote”. \n\n“Don’t just expect you’ll coast into government”. \n elliemail Because Newman is sooo credible...

NBC rails against Trump rallies while 'hypocritically' endorsing Seattle occupation | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says the United States media trend to present “garbage” on Donald Trump and ignore obvious “double standards” in their presentation of the news has continued unabated.\n\nThe NBC’s reporting on President Trump’s attempt to kickstart his campaign for re-election in November with a rally in Tulsa Oklahoma on Saturday night, threw a predictably negative slant on Trump, criticising his decision to risk exposing crowds to COVID-19. \n\nThe double standards held by the media company were brought into focus by the subsequent story covering the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone where the coronavirus risk factor posed by the occupation of an area within Seattle by a group of protesters was completely ignored by the media. \n\nMr Murray said for many United States broadcasting stations, “If Donald Trump is going to have people inside an arena, that means there’s going to be a COVID-bomb that goes off”. \n\nHowever, “when thousands of people takeover a six-city block in the United States, it’s just normal”. \n\nImage: AP realDonaldTrump There is enough conflict from within at your end to deal with... do that first. realDonaldTrump realDonaldTrump Paul Murray must be the resident right-wing hack
