LNP Senator SenatorRennick has told Sky News it is “so ironic” how the Greens push for low emissions more than any other party, yet are the “most adamant against” nuclear power.

LNP Senator Gerard Rennick has told Sky News it is “so ironic” how the Greens push for low emissions more than any other party, yet are the “most adamant against” nuclear power.

It comes as five Nationals Senators including former ministers Bridget McKenzie and Matt Canavan will move an amendment to legislation which will allow the Clean Energy Finance Corporation to invest in nuclear generators. Australia accounts for around a third of the world’s uranium reserves while producing 10 per cent of the world’s global production to be exported. “It’s extremely hypocritical of the left parties to be opposed to nuclear,” Senator Rennick said.

SenatorRennick Relating variables is something of an hazardous exercise...i.e., it's not a matter of hypocritical issue!

SenatorRennick Silly thing to say! A reasonably intelligent person will see that Greens are against both fossil fuels and nuclear power - but fir very different reasons. It is not a hypocritical position. Senator Rennick is not very bright!

SenatorRennick Who?

SenatorRennick The greens r insane Australia haters

SenatorRennick Nuclear power is stupid. And not so renewable

SenatorRennick Nuclear may be great for emissions, but what do we do with the waste?!!!!!! THAT’S the big question.

SenatorRennick Let’s build a nuclear plant in Senator Rennick’s neighbourhood.

SenatorRennick Must be pretty bad coming from Bridget McKenzie, she and the nationals for one certainly know how to ruin the environment and prop up the qld mining industry. Keep watching the Skiis?

SenatorRennick Nuclear power is in use all over ther world. Like it or not one day Australia will have nuclear power.

SenatorRennick Ironic is the completely wrong word mate. The word you are looking for is 'Disingenuous'.

SenatorRennick I’m terribly confused about these Tory toffs. Again, haven’t these Tory toffs governed for 20 of the past 26 years? So rather than bitch and moan about the LWFW greens, what have they done about this over that time? Nothing. Because that is what Tory toffs do. Nothing

SenatorRennick Ever heard of Chernobyl? Fukushima?

SenatorRennick This guy is quite mad. Anti_China but Pro-Russian. Pro-Nuclear and Anti-Solar. Climate denier (well to be fair all Coalition Murdoch employees are) Drum roll... Pro coal. Stop vilifying Russia: candidate

SenatorRennick Have a read, Gerry. Then ask yourself if you'd honestly trust the LNP (or anyone who paid you lot a bribe for an untendered contract) to run one here:

SenatorRennick Let’s build the nuclear power plant on the northern beaches of Sydney or Toorak. Then dump the waste in Morrison’s electorate.

SenatorRennick clearly the Senator is short a kanga or two in the top paddock.

SenatorRennick Zero 100%

SenatorRennick thats not ironic

SenatorRennick Ironic it is a reporter who found blinky

SenatorRennick

SenatorRennick Heard of radioactive waste?

SenatorRennick Confused Fxxxcks they are

SenatorRennick Haha Senior Rednick Mp that’s is a bloody gud 🔥 burns hahah u owned the left

SenatorRennick Nuclear power has a lot of pluses when it comes to carbon emissions but when it goes wrong it goes wrong for centuries.

SenatorRennick Promoting nuclear power should be an offense.
