EXCLUSIVE: A whistleblower from Bridget McKenzie’s office has told Sky News they were silenced when concerns were raised over the sports grant scandal. aclennell

|A whistleblower from Bridget McKenzie’s office has told Sky News they were silenced when concerns were raised over the sports grant scandal. Political Editor Andrew Clennell spoke at length with the whistleblower, who told Sky News when they raised their concerns they were told “this is how the minister wants to do it and we have to abide by that”.

Ms McKenzie has been under pressure to resign from her frontbench post after an Auditor-General report outlined a $100 million sports grant programme was used by the government to hand cash to sport clubs in marginal seats ahead of the 2019 election. Mr Clennell was also made aware of a report commissioned from the Department of Health by the minister – at a $160,000 cost to the taxpayer – into the economic and social effects of shooting.

aclennell Bridget McKenzie is up to her neck in it as is ScottMorrisonMP who let’s not forget has been sacked twice for dodgy dealings. Fraudminister

aclennell Silenced by Scott Morrison!

aclennell No names, no pack drills eh?

LouiseBeaston aclennell Looseness of the process. I understand the total grant amount was increased three times. FFS how does that happen without consideration of the process. This is a fucking joke. Jobless punched senseless while this shit is going on. I hate my country at the moment.

MurdochCadell aclennell Corruption is the way all the LNP ministers led by crimeminister want to do it apparently.

1958_BestYear aclennell The bad part about anything SKY SCUM have to say about Morrison or his party of corruption is they are taking the piss out of all the Aussie punters that actually watch or listen to their lies and deception. Anyone who has half a brain would just turn off..

aclennell In other words ScottyFomMarketing is up to his neck in it? IllegitimateElection anyone

aclennell Sounds like there’s a banana in the ranks ready to peel off a rival .. while Australians struggle with Fire & water shortages & plague we get a govinchaos.. auspol natspill libspill sportsrorts

aclennell

aclennell Holds hand to mouth and coughs 'bullshit'...these people have form, and plenty of it, they never expect or anticipate getting caught!

aclennell Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Is this woman still a minister?

aclennell

aclennell Be careful this wench has a gun 🤦🏼‍♂️

giddeygirl aclennell It's absolutely beyond belief that a news organisation accepts a Nationals minister in a LNP government would have carte blanche over $100m & take it upon herself to try & win marginal seats ThisIsNotJournalism

aclennell Let’s forget that the CrimeMinister is up to his neck on this one too, BridgetMcKenzie might have been administering the grants but ScottyFromMarketting was pulling the strings. auspol AuspolSoCorrupt sportsrorts SportsRort

aclennell It's not just sportsrorts Nearly 100 million of our money was pork barrelled in the Safer Communities Fund. Have a look at the excellent research by BelindaJones68 be McKenzie had NOTHING to do with that. Will investigate that, or are you just diverting?

aclennell An orchestrated leak further implicating the Minister to take the heat off the PMO.

aclennell seriously, as if Morrison didn't know the LNP were diverting $100 Mill of hard earned tax payers money into their own election campaign.. nice try , but it was probably his idea... they're all complicit in this , but she should get the boot

aclennell

aclennell Ok..so we’re back on the BridgetIsBad BandWagon hey..I’m not complaining..just laughing that out state sponsored propaganda unit is throwing one of their own under the bus

aclennell If there was corruption she should be booted out of politics. But this will only result in a push out of the ministry like a slap on the wrist but down the road given a chairing job of a committee to make up a salary reduction. This is what you get from the 2 major parties

katienarrabeen aclennell And would that whistleblower have also warned PM and other Ministers. They are all culpable.

aclennell Another internal BACKSTABBER ! how long can one go there are no friends in Politics...

aclennell This could get messy if they are going to start slinging mud around. 🍿🍿🍿bring it on.

aclennell

aclennell How’s good was captain cook coming with the first fleet ax a zombie 🧟‍♂️. How frigin good is the history knowledge of the prime muppet apparently he circum navigated Australia to . Where did these morons go to school in Siberia .

Tho great 2 have whistle blowing laws, it can be very hard 2 protect people. An Australian news paper published the name of a whistleblower friend, endangering his life. Hard also without access 2 the context (which may B classified) 2 differentiate from malicious

MargotSaville aclennell Bec Johnson of Wagga, one of the McKenzie staffers allegedly up to their necks in sportsrorts, is becYeoval whose tweets are protected. Her bio suggests a strong affinity with the likes of Barnaby Beetrooter, Matt Canavan, Warren Truss. Tell us more Bec!

aclennell we didnt want to do it - honest.

aclennell Nice attempt to divert from the real culprit ScottyFomMarketing , Large novelty cheques all round.....Sky exclusive...….leaked directly from the CrimeMinister

aclennell

davidbewart aclennell I'd rather hear what involvement the rest of cabinet and the PMO had rather than get this drip feed of leaks from the government. To.e to dig deeper than what your handed on a plate Sky

aclennell She's the sacrificial lamb for a hell of a lot of others rorts. It would be nice if you held others accountable.

aclennell The CrimeMinister was up to his Happy Clapping eyeballs in the sportsrorts Anyone who really thinks a Minister can divert $100 million without the CrimeMinister knowing, needs to think deeper

aclennell So, they said nothing outside Bmac's office at the time, to keep their job? How are they a whistleblower then, if the train has left the station?

fehowarth aclennell Why are you piling on McKenzie when there is evidence other ministers are equally culpable. I know she is being made the scapegoat but plenty of people know what you are doing.
