Former Victoria Police homicide detective Charlie Bezzina has commended police for publicly calling the Samantha Murphy case “suspicious”, 10 days after the Ballarat mum went for a jog and never came home. On Wednesday, Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton confirmed the disappearance was now being treated as suspicious, despite police saying otherwise for more than a week after she disappeared.
Former homicide detective Charlie Bezzina shares fresh theories on Samantha Murphy after police confirmed shock new development Appearing on Sunrise on Thursday, Charlie said the status change did little to the investigation, claiming most people had viewed the case as suspicious from the beginning. “Basically, I think we all knew it was suspicious and why they were pushing back on that — the investigators — I don’t know,” Bezzina said.
