Ex-TV host Andrew O’Keefe lashes out at media after assault charges

Disgraced former television presenter Andrew O’Keefe has lashed out at journalists after he was charged over allegations he choked, punched and kicked a would-be business partner.

“A verbal argument ensued between the pair, before the man allegedly assaulted the woman – grabbing her by the throat, pushing her to the ground and punching her,” police said on Thursday. During the fight, his partner ripped buttons off Mr O’Keefe’s shirt and threatened to tell the media that he was a “junkie” and “abuser”, the court heard.
