A former rugby league player who grew up in Bankstown dreaming of an NRL career before moving to the United States to try his hand at American football in 2018 is on the brink of a Super Bowl Championship.

Chris Orr, Mailata’s agent, suggested pursuing the NFL’s International Pathway Program but his parents and sister were concerned about him travelling overseas.

Mailata travelled to the US in 2018 to take part in the IPP which was established just a year earlier and designed to provide elite international athletes with an opportunity to compete in the NFL. Jeff Stoutland, the Eagles offensive line coach, was asked to watch Mailata in action at the IPP and he admitted he “was not interested” because he had another trip planned but he was persuaded to go and watch his pro-day.

Chalmers taps banks and super to fix social disadvantageThe Treasurer is working on plans to attract banks and superannuation funds to set up a social impact investing fund to tackle “entrenched disadvantage” in the May federal budget. The Treasurer can bite my shiny metal ass. Super is not meant to support the initiatives that government should already be paying for This is an outrage that this clown 🤡 can effectively come after our super to pay for his socialist/communist euphoria.
