Heavy rain and thunderstorms are set to ease off on Sunday but not before bringing widespread flooding to New South Wales and parts of Queensland.
People in the Western Plains Tourist Park were asked to evacuate immediately just before 2am "because inundation by floodwater is imminent" and an evacuation centre was set up at Dubbo Showground. There are more than 60 flood warnings in place across NSW, covering western parts of the state, in the Central West, Hunter, Hawkesbury-Nepean, the South Coast and the Illawarra.
A damaging trough in New South Wales, first unleashed across the state's west, left several regions awash. "We're only eight days into the storm season and unfortunately, we're seeing flooding continue across NSW," emergency services minister Steph Cooke said. The latest burst of storms are being caused by a developing low pressure system, which will dissipate over Sunday and Monday.

SarahStewart_9 Gabrielle_Boyle Can we please stop talking about the floods everyday People in flood zones need to take personal responsibility not inconvenience the rest of us with demands for help Let the rest of us get out and enjoy life
So we must have had that climate change thing people keep panicking about 49 years ago in Dubbo.
