The Bombers defender returns a negative result for a second time, creating uncertainty around his quarantine and training arrangements.

"So from my own personal point of view … I couldn't say he definitely has or he definitely hasn't."

Prior to McKenna revealing his latest test result, physician and ABC presenter Norman Swan said the 24-year-old's situation was a "very typical pattern for people with coronavirus". "The story with Conor McKenna is not a great surprise and you would have to say he has had the infection," Dr Swan told the ABC's Coronacast podcast.

"He has been positive for COVID-19 and it was accurate, because false negatives are much more common than false positives."

Essendon player Conor McKenna returns negative result on latest coronavirus testEssendon player Conor McKenna says he has tested negative to coronavirus in his most recent test, after an irregular result on Friday followed by a positive result on Saturday. reclon_26 bruh! WTAF is going on! The curious case of Connor McKenna. What does this say about testing in general & perhaps, about the virus? This is why I don't trust a single thing we are told about COVID. They can even get the tests right let alone predict anything.

McKenna treated as a positive case despite negative result: SuttonVictoria's Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said there was nothing unusual about the case. 'There are lots of people who test positive one day, they’re at the very tail-end of their infection and then they test negative the following day.' How can he possibly be at the tail end of his infection when he ony tested positive last Friday? This is rubbish, someone's stuffed up big time here - makes me wonder how many other tests have been botched. There's also false positives as well as false negatives. What a load of shit. Surely CHO and deputy CHO should be out on their arse. Both have indicated they have no fkn idea
