Essendon have begun day one of their pre-season with a helicopter stunt announcing their new major sponsor. The Bombers unveiled Dutton Automotive as a new partner, with a helicopter carrying a car landing on the tarmac at Melbourne Jet Base on Monday morning.
Essendon drop major news with helicopter stunt. As part of the three-year deal, the company’s logo will feature on the Bombers’ playing and training strips. Speaking to 7NEWS Melbourne from a Ferrari, Essendon midfielder Darcy Parish said it wasn’t a typical start to the pre-season. “Yeah, it’s not your typical Monday is it?” Parish said.
