EnergyAustralia managing director Catherine Tanna has announced her retirement after seven years leading the nation’s third-largest power company and will step down on July 1.
Ms Tanna, who has been at the helm since 2014, will be succeeded by EnergyAustralia’s chief customer officer Mark Collette, the company said in a statement on Thursday.Ms Tanna said she was pleased her successor had been appointed from within EnergyAustralia’s ranks.a leadership transition that best suits our business,” she said.business that has become infinitely more complex over time.
An influx of renewable energy into the nation’s main power grid is placing enormous pressure on coal-fired power plants by driving down daytime power prices to levels where coal is increasingly unable to compete.
