Empty Esky is a national campaign aimed at getting bushfire affected towns back on their feet.

The initiative encourages people to visit towns with an empty esky and to fill it by supporting local businesses in affected towns.

Co founder Eleanor Baillieu says she started the campaign with two mates because “they wanted to do something that was recovery focused and long term focused”. “What better way than to get on the road with an esky, because it’s very Aussie, and to enjoy everything we have in our backyard,” she told Sky News. My wife and I saw this a few weeks ago and thought it was such a good idea, we're planning to do it in as many towns as we can this year. Well done to the organisers, great initiative.
