Is it my imagination, or does Brisbane and the Gold Coast seem to have a disproportionate amount of these kind of stand-offs? 🤔

Chief Medical Officer backs voluntary use of face masks on public transportBrendan Murphy has backed the voluntary use of face masks as a new study shows they can reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 when people are asymptomatic. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t..... That is the most tiptoed, cowardly way for saying 'Yo- if you're taking public transportation, WEAR A MASK.' About a month ago I was headed home on the bus from picking up groceries. A man ran for the bus, sat directly behind me (in a nearly empty bus) and had a coughing fit, because he had a cold. By the time I got home, so did I. Now won’t get on PT without a mask.

Requests to die surge as virus fears push terminally ill to make plansDoctors say they are seeing a surge of terminally ill people asking to end their lives at home amid fears the coronavirus crisis could thwart their hopes for a swift, painless death surrounded by loved ones. | EXCLUSIVE by MeljCunningham MeljCunningham I worked in nursing homes, 100 years old people loved life if someone is there to care for them and gave them love and understanding. When people are sick and nobody gave them love and respect being told they are burned to them, what other choice they have than wish they were dea MeljCunningham It's so sad, I watched my dear father writhe in agony, he was in a good hospital with great staff, they could do nothing except give him morphine (he was 79, cancer). This was years before the virus hit, but it magnifies a huge problem with the sick & elderly, bless them all. ❤️ MeljCunningham The public debate on assisted dying is over. It would be better if the media didn't use this intensely private time as clickbait fodder. Using terms like 'a surge' and 'amid fears' implying it is done rashly and in a panic. Leave these people and their loved ones alone.
