Several factors are behind the rise of Tesla’s Model Y to the top of the Australian sales charts.

In Australia’s Eastern capitals these days, every other car seems to be a Tesla. And as if to confirm that feeling’s not entirely imaginary, new industry sales figures reveal Tesla sold nearly 6000 cars in this country last month, with its Model Y the third best-selling car outright.

So are Telsas perfect? Of course not. Depending on your taste they may not even be the best electric cars. But they are theelectric cars and for many, still the coolest. So when everyone is scrambling for an EV, Tesla is bound to be the biggest beneficiary.
