The man known as Point Piper’s eco warrior and his wife, an award-winning author, have listed their designer mansion with hopes of up to $30m.

Geoff Cousins, who spent 25 years with top advertising agency George Patterson and later became a prominent environmental activist, and Darleen Bungey, whose books have included Arthur Boyd: A Life and John Olsen: An Artist’s Life, are moving to a $20m Paddington apartment.

Her most recent book is a family memoir called Daddy Cool. Cousins is also the founding chair of the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Australian arm of the children’s charity Starlight Foundation in 1988. His collection of Australian contempoary sculpture he put together in his Bowral property was the most significant private collection outside of a public gallery.
