The law, passed earlier this year, makes it easier for refugees and asylum seekers on Manus Island and Nauru to seek medical treatment in Australia.. The Coalition had warned the move would see"a flood of about 300 immediate transfers" to Australia, including paedophiles, rapists or murderers. But Mr Dutton told Insiders"only just over 30" people had so far been transferred under the legislation.
Asked whether people charged with serious offences had travelled to Australia, he said:"I don't know the answer to that question in terms of the concerns that we have about individuals."We don't bring anyone to our country where we can't mitigate the risk."

Keneally’s response was incorrect. My understanding is that the issue for the govt has always been that there are rapists, murderers and paedophiles on Manus/Nauru that have been charged but have never been convicted and therefore no criminal record.
He just needs to make one phone call & he would be told in minutes. The sad part is if his staff have not informed him, what the hell are they doing?
