Dutton takes aim at Chinese Communist Party for hostile conduct | fergushunter

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has taken aim at the Chinese Communist Party, accusing it of conduct "inconsistent" with Australian values and declaring the government would call out cyber attacks, theft of intellectual property and undue influence at universities.

"Our issue as I've said before is not with the Chinese people, not with the amazing Chinese diaspora community that we have here in Australia. My issue is with the Communist Party of China and their policies to the extent that they are inconsistent with our own values."He said Australia enjoyed important democratic freedoms and any impingement on those values, by China or any other country, should be called out by the government.

A foreign interference taskforce with representatives from government and universities is currently working to address concerns around undue influence on campuses, sensitive research collaboration and cyber security around valuable data.

fergushunter Is it also a good time for Australia to review its policy over the foreign students especially those Chinese students who take CCP’s order to attack HK protesters and act against the speech freedom? They should be sent back to their wonderful homeland.

fergushunter I can see a wanted poster, in Chinese, with his picture on it. Dead or Dead.

fergushunter This guy Dutton ( Himmler) is a real worry. He attacks everybody as though he is trying to outgun Trump...😎

fergushunter China is not doing trading with the world. It aims to infiltrate, by funding every aspects, gaming, movies, Internet, infrastructure, etc.

fergushunter The only time I will agree with potato head. CCP and china trolls are a huge threat to global free speech and democracy. Just look at HK, Taiwan, NBA , western firms being forced to apologise etc.

fergushunter China will tell Pete, to piss off!

fergushunter 'China, by contrast, represents less than 2 per cent of foreign investment in Australia. So I think it's easy to blow out of proportion who has the more significant relationship with Australia,' Mr Ross said. The red envelope does!

fergushunter I'm not a fan of PeterDutton_MP , he is weak on freedom of speech, weak on the freedom of the press and weak on the public's right to protest. But China under XiJinping regularly intimidates, steals IP and engages in CyberWarfare . With our allies we should stand up to China

fergushunter Nobody is more hostile than PeterDutton_MP...

fergushunter Dont upset Gladys Liu, Spudman

fergushunter Who is Dulton?

fergushunter This is a man crying out for a crisp uniform and polished boots

Hypothetical question stumps AFL hopefulFor more than 50 years philosophers, psychologists and university professors have conducted a famous thought experiment known as the trolley problem to assess the morals of their subjects. I’d rather kill five and save the one. The environmental benefits outweigh the loss Five people are standing on the track and not one of them thinks to get off the track? Why should an innocent worker doing his job be killed because of other people's stupidity? derail the train so it doesn't hit any of them
