Drones worth $100k plunge into river during Perth Christmas event

A review is under way after a futuristic Christmas celebration in Perth went wrong when 50 drones, worth roughly $100,000, plunged into the Swan River.

City of Perth lord mayor Basil Zempilas admitted "some of the drones weren't doing what they were supposed to" but said there was no risk to the public."That was because of some technical issues."He said Civil Aviation Safety Authority safety protocols were observed and nobody was in danger.
