Echo taskforce detectives are probing whether Middle Eastern organised crime links are responsible for the attack in Dallas on October 27 last year.
Echo taskforce detective Inspector Graham Banks said the passenger then fired three shots at men with the footage showing at least two of them running for cover.Inspector Banks said it was “extremely fortunate” no one was injured during the shooting. “We think it may well be a case of mistaken identity. Two of these people have no history with police whatsoever, the third has some history but we don’t believe has got any involvement in relation to this particular shooting.
He said police had identified a number of persons of interest during their investigation who were still yet to be excluded as suspects. Inspector Banks said detectives were keen to identify a woman who can be seen walking along Dory Street in the background of the footage as the incident unfolded.
