Donald Trump lands in Vietnam for Kim summit

The talks are focused on getting Kim to give up nuclear weapons in exchange for relief from sanctions hobbling his economy and better relations with the US and other nations.Mr Trump left Washington on Monday afternoon on Air Force One flying eastward and landed late on Tuesday in Hanoi after making refueling stops in England and Qatar.through southern China to the Vietnam border and then to Hanoi in an armored limousine.

Trump and Kim are to have a private dinner on Wednesday evening and discussions on Thursday in hopes of building on an aspirational agreement they made at their first historic meeting in Singapore in June.
