Australia is bracing for a horror bushfire day with hot, dry weather conditions set to wreak havoc across the country. 9News

NSW Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliot has admitted taking a European holiday during the Australian bushfire crisis was "inexcusable".

Mr Elliot returned last night after choosing to go on his pre-planned holiday, despite seeing the criticism Scott Morrison faced for taking a trip to Hawaii. "I came back to step up not step down. I will spend the day here supporting the premier and the commissioner making sure that we get - I get right on top of the area of operations and deployments that will occur," he said in a press conference this morning.

Les Murray did it for John Howard remember? A vanity effort by losers and self-loathers. When the First Fleet arrived there were 500,000 Aborigines against 1,000 white settlers from the Britain.
