Police will be cracking down on any large public or private gatherings over the long weekend, as NSW recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 for the seventh straight day on Sunday | pallavisinghal_

The gathering of hundreds of revellers who were packed tightly on the grass, dancing and singing, was described by Mr Hazzard as “absolutely appalling” and one that had “every chance” of becoming a super spreader event.“We’ve all worked too hard to achieve zero or low community transmissions. Don’t be a fool.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has said restrictions are expected to be eased in the coming week if NSW continues its run of no cases in the community. NSW Health also urged people across the state to come forward for testing even if they had very mild symptoms.
