Wayne Bennett and the Dolphins are set to hand young gun Isaiya Katoa a three-year contract extension worth a reported $2 million dollars to retain his services.
He is currently contracted until the end of the 2025 season, but would be free to negotiate with rivals for 2026 from November 1 as a free agent. The young gun was poached from the Panthers’ junior system ahead of the club’s debut season in 2023, going on to play 22 games that year alongside his singular appearance in 2024.
