Authorities predict a record $500 million will be lost to scams this yearThe Australian Tax Office says it is seeing a spike in the scam right now and estimates Australians have been fleeced millions of dollars.

Australians lost nearly half a billion to scammers last year — and that's just the cases reported to the consumer watchdog. "So what they do is once they've convinced someone that they've got a tax debt, they help them to set up cardless cash ... where you can get money out of an ATM without your card, just using a code that you get to your mobile or through your banking app."The cardless cash scam is one that we've just seen emerging in recent months, so it is still relatively new."

Married couple Tim and Rod take out Amazing Race Australia prizeMarried couple Tim and Rod have scored the whopping $250,000 Amazing Race Australia cash prize, and they have an “outrageous” plan for what they’re going to do with it. Thank goodness I didn’t have to listen to Jasmin talk about her ‘babe’ and her son. Might have been an idea to hide who won in the article rather than the headline, knobs
