The Northern Territory's major political party leaders clash over economic management, crime, and the Government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic in the NT leaders debate. Here's what you missed.

Ms Finocchiaro focused on ditching the mandated floor price on alcohol in the NT, and called for a review of the BDR, although she would not say whether a CLP government would drop the BDR.

"We most certainly are scrapping the mandatory minimum alcohol floor price. We don't think that has had any impact whatsoever on driving down alcohol-related harm," Ms Finocchiaro said. "What we have said about the Banned Drinker Register is that we will review it. We recognise that it has a place, but we're not convinced by the data that we've seen, so we'd really like to do a thorough review of that once we are elected."in spite of criticism by the drug and alcohol rehabilitation sector.Last week, NT Police Commissioner Jamie Chalker said the NT had a "paternalistic" approach to rules on alcohol consumption in remote Indigenous communities.

Labor has said it will allow remote communities to decide if they want alcohol in communities when the NT Government gets such powers back from the Commonwealth in 2021.Labor says it supports fracking but is also focusing on renewables, namely solar.Territory Alliance does not support fracking."I'm not convinced that the benefit we would gain as a community from fracking is going to be in the magnitude that people think it's going to be," he said.
