A former NSW Liberal Party staffer who publicly aired allegations of indecent assault against a colleague in 2019 says she reached out to the Prime Minister's office for help and did not receive any.

Dhanya Mani, a former Liberal staffer in the NSW Baird government, alleges she was indecently assaulted by a colleague

"In the months at the end of 2014, at the beginning of 2015, I was subjected to a case of abusive conduct by a senior staffer in NSW Parliament," Ms Mani told 7.30. "I was also told simply that it just wasn't true and I was making it up. And the best case response that I got was to say, 'Well I guess we believe you but if you say anything, your political career will be over and this will be it for you.'"

How disgusting is this Government

Smartcairns11

Wouldn’t you have a complaints process in Parliament House no matter who is in government The APH would have a process for workplace safety they would control the day to day running of security and non party workers who organised the cleaning and man the security

RAPE IS TABOO CONVERSATION ohhhhhh yer outta WHOS mouth piece OLD LORE NO1 EVERN THE RAPEST is apart of community TEACH THY CHILDREN about the Environment Why ya hiding that rapist under the ROCK 🪨 OI U SPIDER

So in the PMO, women are expendable, staffers are expendable, the LNP and PM are sacrosanct. Everything is sacrificed on the altar of their political survival. PMOknew Scottyknew ScottyNeverHelped

‘Don’t mention the war’

The system that is in place for these women to report crimes is disgraceful

One thing I have always done in workplaces is to document all interactions and correspondence with management and take and safely store a copy. Evidence in criminal cases and workplace disputes is crucial.

Well, this is quite a habit with the PMO and government ministers. I fail to see how the PM didn't know about all this. Shows the contempt they hold for women.

Obviously not sexually assaulted, look at her face 🙄

She worked for Mike Baird he left a fair while ago. Wouldn't you try and address it with the office you actually worked in. Doesn't add up

Same shit treatment from Morrison's office. This Finklestein character needs removing from politics.

Geez the abcnews and the leftist woke crowd cottoned on to lessons from the US with existing trump. As much as I hate scomo this propaganda rubbish by the left & using victims for political gain is a disgrace auspol abcmediawatch shame

Erythrina5 Depressingly unsurprising.

Hi ScottMorrisonMP - why do my taxes fund a rubbish, radically biased, tabloid like the ABC? Seriously?

Phil Gaetjens will get to the bottom of this. Trust smirkandmirrors

The PM’s office is not the clearing house for accusations across the country. There are processes, bodies, institutions and local offices to deal with all issues. It’s an absurd insinuation. The left are spiralling.

Seems that there rapist in all levels of liberal governments.

Really you would go to the police ffs if its that bad

Prime Minister Morrison simply runs a public relations team out of the PMO. Everything is about the image, the message, and the control of that narrative. When was the last time he shared any long term vision or goals for the nation? Its simply about being PM.

And off we go...

The theme to the pm’s office is becoming starkly clear...

Why didn’t these young women just go straight to the coppers❓How naive to think politicians can or will do anything. What is it they want done anyway❓What would make things right❓

For crying out loud, even the spokespersons response to 7:30 is completely out of touch and devoid of any empathy, compassion or understanding of the situation. The entire party needs a damned good overhaul starting from the top down. Not good enough ScottMorrisonMP.

the stink worsens. It is beyond gag-worthy. abuse has no excuse- notably when men use perceived authority on vulnerable women

So great to see the Victim Industry alive and well!

It is important for every man to have the sexual consent and approval form handy and signed and dated before any sexual encounter with any women.

LNP, what are disgrace. Who are the people who vote for these kunts? LNP doesn't care about anything as long as people keep voting for them.

Why would the PM's office be involved in something that occurred in a state branch, that would be a police matter

I doubt she was sexually assaulted I mean the other girl maybe but not this one lmao.

They might have probably considered sacking her

Finkelstein needs to be sacked immediately on the basis of these reports. Poor culture in the Liberal party culture should be the subject of an independent inquiry, clearly PMO incapable of taking appropriate action.

If you are assaulted, indecently assaulted or sexually assaulted then go to the Police- not your boss. Your boss can’t investigate criminal offences....

HillsongAgain

I'm sure the PM will have heard nothing about it. ... Has he already issued that statement? ...

Why are they not reporting these men to the police so they can be charged and stop they’re disgusting behaviour?

I think the message here for young female LNP staff is just go straight to the police because the sleazy LNP are only up for cover-ups.

Should have gone straight to the police
