In only its second season, the Major League Cricket T20 tournament in the US is luring some big-name hitters with the prospect of more to come.

Head and Smith are both headline acts for the Washington Freedom in a league set to benefit from the T20 World Cup being played in the US and Caribbean before its second season gets under way. “It’s all happened so quick, this time last year I was struggling to get a contract for my state, got offered a rookie contract for Victoria and ended up signing with South Australia and that move has really helped me,” Fraser-McGurk told the IPL website
