About 30 per cent of adult Australians are members of the liquor chain’s loyalty program in an increasingly digital world.

More than 30 per cent of Australia’s adult population is a member of the loyalty program operated byFor a business with only 251 bricks and mortar outlets, the “My Dan’s” loyalty program has impressive reach, considering the, which operates across Coles supermarkets and a host of other retail brands, has about 8 million users.

Deng says the size of the Dan Murphy’s business and the high numbers in its loyalty program give it a “significant advantage” in a retail sector where the omni-channel approach of being an astute player in bricks and mortar outlets, and e-commerce, seems to be the formula for modern-day success. Deng expects Endeavour Group to continue to win market share through being a pioneer in its segment and believes its online market share will rise from about 38 per cent in 2020-21 to 43 per cent by 2024-25.

The hotels portfolio is also set to benefit once the COVID-19 pandemic is under control, with on-premise drinking and eating to return to full strength. In February, Endeavour delivered a better-than-expected first-half profit for 2021-22 which was 15.6 per cent higher at $311 million, with profit margins strong in its retail liquor arm.
