Cyclone Owen is expected to wreak havoc for several days as it tracks across the cape and down Queensland’s coastline. Residents have been urged to remain on high alert.

For a start, it hasn't wreaked havoc. It's brought welcomed rain which has now cooled the temperature from it's build-up. I'm in it now, the odd thunder and intermittent rainfall. So far, it's been a very lovely cyclone. But as with all cyclones, they are unpredictable.
