"It will cut compliance costs, reduce red tape, make it easier to do business, and boost productivity," Treasurer Jim Chalmers said in a speech delivered to the Australian Financial Review Business Summit. The Tasmanian Senator went on to say she believed the average business or Australian citizen would"hardly notice" the effects of the abolished tariffs."Those small businesses and businesses out there are on the back foot right now.

"It will save businesses over $30 million in compliance costs each year, or over $120 million over the next four years," he said.
