'Critical league' cancelled and doubts over return to play — netball wants answers

Pathways for Australia's talented netballers have been blocked due to finances and restrictionsFormer players are concerned the next generation of talent could be lost if there is an extended break

"Our own representative players that play in state competitions, there is no start dates for those at the moment. They won't have that opportunity [to play] this year and [for] some of our older representative players that will be their last year at that level.To make matters worse for netballers coming through the ranks, Netball Australia was forced to cancel its key national feeder competition this week, known as the Deakin Uni Australian Netball League.
