Kevin Spacey is standing trial in a London court over 12 sexual offences including four men and allegations that date from 2001 to 2013. The trial is expected to last four weeks.

Mr Spacey's career was derailed when sexual misconduct allegations against him arose as the #MeToo movement exploded.

The actor, charged under his full name of Kevin Spacey Fowler, has pleaded not guilty to all 12 counts, which relate to alleged incidents between 2001 and 2013. "The prosecution suggest that Mr Spacey … abused the power and influence that his reputation and fame afforded him," Ms Agnew said. "Taking what and who he wanted, when he wanted."One of Mr Spacey's four accusers described the actor in a London court on Monday as a "slippery, snaky" predator whom good-looking young men were warned to avoid.

He likened Mr Spacey to the villain he played in the 1995 thriller "Se7en" about a serial killer motivated by the seven deadly sins.Another witness said Mr Spacey invited him and others back to a house where he was staying to "carry on the party" after the pub closed. Mr Spacey then kissed his neck and grabbed his crotch and said, "Be cool, be cool," the man testified.
