Craig McLachlan accused of indecently assaulting four women who were 'isolated and alone'

Prosecutors have outlined details of a series of alleged assaults by actor Craig McLachlan in which he is accused of targeting vulnerable women.He is facing 17 charges for indecent assaults alleged to have occurred in 2014A three-week contested hearing is underway in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court after Mr McLachlan, 54, was charged earlier this year.

Prosecutors have briefly outlined their case, in which Mr McLachlan is alleged to have indecently assaulted the four women between late April 2014 and mid-July 2014.In all, prosecutors outlined 17 charges against him, including rubbing his penis against complainants, thrusting his groin, grabbing his genitals and kissing them on the mouth and the neck.

Later, the court heard, he said to her:"I'm so embarrassed. I made such a fool of myself. I'm such an old fool."He is accused of touching the genitals of one woman and running his hand up the inner thigh of one complainant. The court heard Mr McLachlan had sent a message of apology to one of the women who complained he had held her jaw tightly and pushed her face away."Uncle Craig's been cranky — sorry. It's not his natural state of being," the message read, according to Mr Fisher.But Mr McLachlan's lawyer, Stuart Littlemore, said his client denied the charges — if there was physical contact at all, it was consensual.

Have to admit to being confused how something like that which is being alleged could happen on stage. Either you need to be kissed for the role or someone would notice. Given the fanbase of the production I think it would be noticed.

Went and saw the Rocky Horror stage show, it was brilliant! This also wasn't Craig's first gig, so if what is accused is true why isn't there a charge sheet that reaches back to Neighbors and beyond. Seems odd this only occurred during this one particular production.

If this happened on stage on 20-or-so occasions as is being alleged, then clearly the entire Melbourne audience and production staff are complicit in this assault... unless the accusations have been drummed up, but we won't entertain that possibility.

So what drugs or medication was he on because at his age you don't turn into Uncle Fester the molester overnight without some underlying cause, or has he got 'history'?
