BREAKING: A damning report into the global disaster commissioned by the World Health Organisation has found “weak links at every point in the chain.”

The independent review found that there were “weak links at every point in the chain of preparedness and response”.

It said “valuable time was lost” in the early days of the pandemic after the virus was detected in China in December 2019 because international emergency declaration procedures were “much too slow” to prevent the spread of a fast-moving respiratory pathogen. The damning report said that the crises enveloping places like Kathmandu, pictured, could have been avoided.

“It has caused a crisis so deep and wide that presidents, prime ministers and heads of international and regional bodies must now urgently accept their responsibility to transform the way in which the world prepares for and responds to global health threats.”

World could have prevented COVID-19 pandemic but made 'serious errors', panel saysA new global system should be set up to respond faster to disease outbreaks to help ensure no future virus causes a pandemic as devastating as COVID-19, an independent WHO review panel says. How would that work if places like China won’t tell the outside world until it’s way too late… Missing the wood for the trees - protection against future pandemic destruction is ending global poverty and the direct exploitation of developing economies by western financial and military power.

Australians' COVID-19 vaccine reticence might be due to 'complacency' | Sky News AustraliaRACGP President Dr Karen Price says complacency due to Australia’s success in handling the pandemic is one possible reason why some members of the Australian public are reticent to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.\n\nIn an exclusive interview with Sky News, Dr Price said getting vaccinated is necessary to avoid continuous isolation from the rest of the world.\n\n“I think there’s also some degree of maybe complacency about the fact that we’ve done so well and I guess people have to think about well how long do we think we can stay isolated from the rest of the world,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.\n\n“This virus is not going away it’s with us and we have to get vaccinated and we cannot stay isolated from the rest of the world that’s not a long-term solution – we have to get vaccinated.”\n I think she is right the more that die generates an incentive to get vaccinated. We have been so lucky. However its nowhere near over yet and we still my get the big hit from the virus. That maybe a part of it, however I think it's more to do with- don't tell us what is good for us or what to do. We all have a brain and can see what is going on in the fast developing socialist country

Australian man dies from COVID-19 in IndiaA 51-year-old Australian man dies in India from COVID-19 after travelling to visit his elderly parents before becoming sick. All these people made the CHOICE to leave Australia and travel to India, a WELL KNOWN hotspot. The government didn’t force them to travel, they made an active decision to leave the country - I made the choice not to travel but didn’t see a loved one overseas before they died Very unusual conclusions in this story. Alternative conclusion: India is dangerous with regard to Covid, and unvaccinated people should not travel there. Who advised him that he was going to be able to bring his family to Australia during a pandemic?
