More than 120 doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine have been thrown out after a possible storage error at a nursing home in Melbourne.
The vaccines were delivered to the St Vincent's aged care facility in Werribee on Wednesday and administered by Aspen Medical.But the company was not able to confirm the precise temperature at which the vials were stored and so a decision has been taken to dispose of the vials.
Who gives a F, they are suppose to be professionals health experts there should be no room for any mistakes. How is it they are front liners getting jab first with elderly and the some elderly get wrong dose.

These nursing homes seem to be run by hopeless total incompetents' clean them out and get properly qualified people to run the homes

So is it helpful to report confusing stories? I have a concern for the people in the aged care home and the families who have loved ones residing at the faculty. Could you shed light onto how many patients received the authorised jab, and if the wasted vaccine was needed?

Loss of 120 vials is unfortunate but insignificant. Logistics involved in distribution is difficult and wastage is to be expected.
No need to throw out!!! FDA declares that frozen vials of the Pfizer COVID19 vaccine can now be transported & stored at conventional freezer temperatures for up to 2 weeks, instead of the ultra cold storage required previously. A huge improvement!!!
Out of an abundance of caution we should throw the Commonwealth Government out and start with a fresh batch.
