Heidi Strbak pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of her son Tyrell Cobb, 4, and a Brisbane court hears she failed to seek medical treatment for him because she was worried she would 'get done' for slapping him.

The partner of Queensland woman Heidi Strbak, whose son died from abdominal injuries, has told a Brisbane court the mother did not want to seek medical treatment for her four-year-old because she was worried she'd "get done" for slapping him.

Earlier this year, the High Court ruled Strbak should be re-sentenced because the judge had placed too much weight on the fact she had not given evidence at her sentencing hearing.During Strbak's re-sentencing hearing on Tuesday, the Supreme Court in Brisbane was shown images of extensive injuries on Tyrell's body, including bruises to his back, chest, head, ear and legs.

"Tyrell Cobb appears to be injured over a relatively short period of time regularly when in the sole company of Mr Scown," Mr Holt told the court.
