A final count of votes in Fiji's national election begins after an official results publishing app was plagued with technical problems overnight.

abc.net.au/news/counting-begins-in-fiji-national-election/101774168A final count of votes in Fiji's national election has begun this morning after an official results publishing app was plagued with technical problems overnight.A glitch occurred during an upload of data to the mobile appInitial results indicated a strong, then very strong showing for opposition parties, before the Fijian Elections Office advised of issues with the provisional count at around midnight last night.

He said the glitch occurred during an upload of data to the mobile app, which caused a mismatch of some candidates' identification numbers between the data processing system and the mobile app.The updated provisional result showed incumbent Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama's Fiji First party narrowly ahead.

Voter turnout was surprisingly low, with roughly 60 per cent of registered citizens casting a ballot.

I wonder if the results will be squeaky clean ?

Was their app done by the same mob that did our Covid one? They probably had a referral from some LNP minister.

will frank 'banarama' accept the result?

Sure sure, you'll see a progressive government result now.
