ANALYSIS: Could the Northern Territory decide the outcome of the federal election?

But with less than 250,000 voters in the NT, what's in it for the major parties? Why would they be committing such a wealth of campaign time and future spending to such a lowly populated area? The Territory's capital sits at a strategic vantage point for any federal government wanting to hold a seat on the doorstep of Australia's neighbours in the Pacific and Asia.

, watching the parade of servicemen and women through the CBD, playing two-up with the diggers and talking up Darwin as a "garrison town" – a term rarely used by any locals but one referring to defence, in an election waged at a time of rising national security uncertainty.Darwin sits in the electorate of Solomon and while that's currently held by Labor, it's on a slim margin of little more than 3 per cent.

Who writes your 💩 analysis these days

No. QLD will decide it. Please dont call this analysis. Its speculative crap

Who cares I will vote against any government that puts us through a 6 week election campain. Unforgivable punishment.

I think the ABC reporting that the PM spent Anzac Day ‘watching the parade of servicemen’ was rather erroneous. I would say ‘watching texts on his phone screen’ would be more factual.😳😳

Just ask the locals how life's been under gunners watch. Labor hasn't a hope in hell.

So let me get this straight. So far it's suggested that Qld, WA and now NT could all decide the outcome. 🤣🤣🤣 Is that so after the election the media can say 'we picked it'.

Answer - No.
