The Albanese government has named one of Australia’s most influential corporate executives Siobhan McKenna as the next Chair of Australia Post.

Among Ms McKenna’s wide range of top jobs in corporate Australia is CEO of Broadcasting at News Corp, Chair of Foxtel, Chair of Sky News Australia, Chair of Nova Entertainment, Independent Non-Executive Director of Amcil Limited and the Managing Partner at Illyria Pty Ltd.

Picture: Aaron Francis/The Australian “Ms McKenna’s knowledge, leadership and experience will help support Australia Post as it modernises and adapts to meet shifting consumer demand,” the statement said. Communications Minister Michelle Rowland said the appointment will help support the “treasured national institution”.

“Australia Post has always been a driver of economic activity for small businesses and continues to deliver essential services to all Australians, particularly in regional, rural and remote Australia,” she said.
