Hardware giant Bunnings has promised to pay all its permanent staff affected by Stage Four lockdowns their full wages. Onya, Bunnings!

Bunnings said in a statement its casual employees who work for 12 or more hours a week will also be paid the equivalent of their regular hours for the rest of the six-week lockdown period. “We have a history of doing the right thing by our team, and I‘m really pleased to confirm we will support our Melbourne team members through this six week period irrespective of whether there is work available in our stores,” Bunnings Managing Director Mike Schneider said.Bunnings’ Managing Director has promised to continue paying full time and casual staff affected by stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne.

So is Targetaus permanent staff getting full pay for 6 weeks and casuals who work on average more than 12 hours per week getting paid too.

Even though it’s their casual staff who are probably hurting the most.
