The US has passed another grim coronavirus milestone – one President Donald Trump didn’t expect it to reach for another three months.

Not exactly accurate. The 60,000 number was the hopeful number based on what was being seen at the time due to social distancing and other mitigation. The White House originally projected 100,000 to 240,000. At least present the entire truth and not partial.
