A Melbourne man who caught a train to Geelong to buy a backpack was one of 70 people fined by police in the past day for breaching coronavirus restrictions in Victoria.
Of the 70 people fined, 18 were for failing to wear a face mask when leaving home and eight were issued at vehicle checkpoints. Children, who rarely have severe COVID-19 symptoms, have not yet been tested for any experimental coronavirus vaccine. The CDC said so far early clinical trials have only included non-pregnant adults, noting the recommended groups could change in the future as clinical trials expand to recruit more people.
