Twelve new cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in Victoria. Some 10,000 school staff have been tested, all returning negative. VCE exams will start just over a week later than usual, quelling fears the exams could spill into 2021.

Ms Berejiklian said children should walk, bike or get dropped off when they return to the classroom on Monday morning.

"Where possible we'd like parents to walk children to school, or have the children walk to school or get dropped off. Referring to comments by federal deputy chief medical officer Paul Kelly that there was no medical reason for borders to remain closed, the LNP member for Dickson says he believes allowing free travel is "in Queensland’s best interests"."Premier Palaszczuk had this July date in mind and as I say for some reason she’s plucked out of the air in a press conference September and she’s dug herself a hole.

July 10 was suggested in the Queensland roadmap as a potential date for allowing wider travel within and from outside the state, subject to review.Queensland has recorded no new cases of COVID-19 for the second day in a row.
