The Northern Beaches is being locked down from 5pm today until midnight on Wednesday, as NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announces another 13 cases from testing on Friday.

The Premier has also asked the rest of Sydney to avoid unnecessary activity, and flagged the possibility of further restrictions being put in place tomorrow for the Greater Sydney area.Human Nature singer Toby Allen has been forced into hotel quarantine after a potential exposure to a COVID-19 case on a recent flight to Brisbane.

Hundreds of people who attended Anytime Fitness in Avalon are being warned to get tested and isolate after a confirmed COVID-19 case attended the gym on five days over the past two weeks. The gym is undergoing deep cleaning and will be closed until further notice. Contact tracing is underway.Not much could deter Manly's dedicated ocean swimming residents from hitting the beach for their daily dose of salt water, and it was no different this morning with the Northern Beaches in voluntary lockdown.
