Premier Daniel Andrews says he has had conversations with Prime Minister Scott Morrison about a 12-month extension of the state of emergency.
Mr Andrews has reiterated the extension has no bearing on the time at which the current lockdown would end. Rather, it would allow the government to continue enforcing rules like mask-wearing and COVID-safe plans for workplaces for 12 months, if required.“As he said today, we don’t necessarily agree on every matter… There are a lot of things on his plate that I don’t have to deal with.
